Moose ornament
I’ve often been asked how I came up with the idea for the Fobbie. I was reading an article about handmade gift tags. At the time I was doing a lot of rustic woodworking. I live in the mountains of Northern Colorado and have a lot of pine beetle kill on my property. My way of recycling the wood is by making candles and ornaments from them. I take a slice of log about a quarter inch thick and stamp them with the image of a moose or bear and then either make them into an ornament or magnet. I was thinking they would be cool decoration for a gift. I then wondered how it could attach them somehow with ribbon. I went to sleep and woke up in the middle of the night with the idea for my parallel slot system. I started making prototypes until I came up with the design I Iiked best and was off and running.
